Volvo Trucks ‘I-Roll’ Technology: World’s first Start/Stop Engine feature for trucks

This is the first time an automaker is introducing stop/start function in heavy-duty trucks to cut fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Volvo Trucks is developing a host of in-house technologies for its heavy-duty trucks to improve fuel economy. The latest on the list is an innovative stop/start engine feature, as part of the brand’s new-gen ‘I-Roll technology. The new feature will be offered on the Volvo FH and FH Aero range with 13-litre diesel engine starting this month in international markets.
