Beirut, March 15 (SANA) UNIFIL spokesman Danny Alghafari called for an end to the military escalation in southern Lebanon, warning that Israeli airstrikes are putting civilians and peacekeepers at risk.
Alghafari said in a statement Sunday that military escalation in southern Lebanon has continued since March 2, with cross-border fire and a recent shooting incident targeting UN force.
The spokesman condemned the attack on UNIFIL and urged all parties to uphold their obligations and ensure the safety of peacekeepers.
