That exhibition also inspired this post, because in addition to the rather wonderful paintings by Sorrell, it included a painting of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edward_Lear\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Colossi of Memnon<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edward_Lear\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Edward Lear<\/a> from 1854.
