But for me, the real story was something quieter.<\/p>\n<p>This race was always going to be a &#8220;racecation&#8221;. My daughter Romy has taken up residence on Sri Lanka\u2019s south coast, so it was a great opportunity to combine racing with some much-needed downtime.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Sri Lanka has history on the Ironman calendar.
