On Thursday evening in Nouakchott, the Japanese Embassy in Mauritania hosted a vibrant cultural and sporting event dedicated to Japanese martial arts, collectively known as “Budo,” featuring demonstrations of judo, karate, and other disciplines.
Addressing attendees, Japan’s Ambassador to Mauritania, Mr. Hiroyuki Uchida, highlighted that judo and karate, both rooted in Japanese tradition, have grown into globally practiced disciplines, appreciated for their physical and philosophical depth.
