The Media and Communications Commission confirmed on Thursday that the widely circulated video depicting Al-Jawahiri constitutes an uncontrolled use of artificial intelligence.
In a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Commission said, “The recently circulated video, which features the great Arab poet, the late Muhammad Mahdi Al-Jawahiri, is an uncontrolled use of artificial intelligence in a manner that offends literary and national values. It also represents content that violates professional and media standards.”
